Earlier today, a man was arrested after he tracked down his friend in a grocery store and started chasing him around while wearing a hazmat suit.

“It’s really good to keep your sense of humor while going through something like this. My friend has felt kind of down lately about the coronavirus, so I thought I would cheer him up by doing this. I had no idea something like this was illegal, so I guess I’ll be headed to jail for the night. It was so worth it though,” said the man as he was being arrested at the scene.

Watchers said the man running around in the hazmat suit was going around asking if they’d seen his friend.

“He looked like the guy from that Back to the Future movie. He approached me and I told him that he needed to stay at least 6 feet away from me or I’d punch his ass back to 1985. He laughed at the joke as he walked away, but I was totally serious. This is not a laughing matter at all!” said the shopper.

Police were available for comment, but did not give any new details of the arrest.

“We did arrest a man earlier for running around a grocery store in a hazmat suit. We’re told he was chasing his friend who needed cheering up, but we believe he just needed to get out of the house after being cooped up for a couple days working at home. We do plan on releasing him soon, but want to quarantine him first as a precaution,” said the Sioux Falls Police Department representative.

Stay safe, friends!
