It’s not every day you see a construction project last longer than the I-29 expansion in Sioux City, but it looks as though Sioux Falls could be headed that general direction.
“I’m super relieved that Sioux Falls citizens will no longer be able to shove that in our faces. They’re having trouble constructing a simple parking ramp! What a joke! I think we’ve completed about five of them in the time it’s taken them to try completing one of them, and all five of those cost the same as that one!” said one Sioux City citizen we spoke with.
The downtown Sioux Falls ramp is quickly becoming a stain on the city and citizens believe it’s not going to get any better any time soon.
“This is going to be a huge setback for city construction projects. Everything is going to be second guessed and actually looked into from now on. Can you believe that? City officials actually looking into projects, who is involved, and where money is coming from? What is this, Canada? I can’t believe we’ve stooped so low as to actually researching projects before breaking ground,” said one Sioux Falls citizen we spoke with.
Some citizens who support the parking ramp have also spoken up recently regarding news the project will need more money.
“I’m only getting paid to write about how I support this thing,” said one anonymous Facebook user we spoke with.
The parking ramp currently does not have a complete date set to it.
