The first big award of the year has been announced and it’s going out to the shoppers of the west side Walmart!
“It’s unusual for people to actually wear sweatpants outside of their house or maybe if they’re stuck in the 1990’s, but the Walmart on the west side of town has won a very prestigious award that we didn’t think was even on our radar!” said one city council who accepted the award.
As award season is starting to gear up after the holidays, local authorities believe this award will be a great start to the year.
“We think it’s going to be a huge award season for the city. Not only did we bring in a record number of awards last year, we’re really aiming to double that amount this year. It’s going to be a great time to be a Sioux
Falls resident!” said one local authority figure we spoke with.
All four Walmart’s in Sioux Fall were included on the award list, but some
citizens took slight offense to hearing the news.
“I work hard all week, and I just want to go to Walmart in my pajamas. Is that such a crime? It’s not like I’m trying to impress anyone or get a workout. I’m here to shop for cheap groceries and some cigarettes!” said one shopper we spoke with.
Walmart did not return our calls for comment.
