Meteorologists across the area have been telling their viewers and listeners that this storm is going to be a giant one, but they have their personal belongings in brown moving boxes just in case they’re wrong again.

“I don’t have a lot of stuff, so it fit in one box. If the storm does happen, I can unpack rather quickly! But, if the storm misses us again, everything is already in the box,” said one local meteorologist we spoke with.

A giant sigh of relief was heard in the Sioux Falls area when snowflakes started falling early this morning, many speculate it was local meteorologists being heard.

“I don’t know if that was the wind, or a huge meteorological sigh of relief
by our local forecasters that they were correct for the time being. In any case, we have a long way to go to see if they need to pack their stuff up
or not!” said one local we spoke with.

Human Resource workers around the area have drafts saved for open
meteorologist positions if the storm doesn’t turn out.

“We have drafts saved for the openings, but we really hope it doesn’t come down to that. I’m getting really tired of hiring and then firing
meteorologists for giving incorrect forecasts,” said one HR professional we spoke with.

The forecast for Sioux Falls mentions that it’s either going to snow a lot or rain a lot or nothing.

Best of luck to all of you!
