A runaway kayak from Tea has become the headline story of many local media outlets across the Sioux Falls region, but many don’t know him like his family does.
“I know he just wanted some time to float on the lake. He does this every
so often to clear his mind and get life back on track when it goes off the
rails. He’s really a great kayak,” said the kayak’s family member.
The missing kayak burst on the media scene yesterday when it made headlines for being found alone on Lake Madison.
“We’re still trying to piece everything together on the lonely kayak we
found yesterday. Since we found him, he’s been returned to his family in
Tea,” said local authorities.
The kayak has yet to speak to the media on why he was floating alone on Lake Madison, but we are told he will speak soon on the situation.
“We ask that the media calm down and respect our privacy regarding our
kayak. We will release a statement when it is appropriate,” said the
kayak’s family member.
Why the kayak chose Lake Madison will forever be a mystery.
