The Argus Leader is suing someone after hearing that potholes have grounded recent flights from Joe Foss Field in Sioux Falls.

“We’re trying to get to the bottom of this whole thing and there are certain people not allowing that to happen,” said the in-house Argus lawyer.

City officials are baffled that a couple small potholes could ground such an enormous vehicle, though.

“They couldn’t just go around the potholes?” asked city officials.

“We need to be very mindful of our surroundings, it’s not our fault they hit the potholes on the airstrip,” said another city official we spoke with.

With winter still lingering, the pothole pains still continue to plague the city and the streets we all drive on.

“I’m really looking forward to construction season. Swerving around orange cones is better than repairing my aircraft every week,” said one pilot.

It’s said that the next Mayor will be the pothole repairing Messiah this city deserves.
