As the Y2K bug turns 18 and is finally allowed to go out by itself, it has turned it’s rage to central Sioux Falls.

Thousands had their power knocked out this afternoon by the raging 18 year old, who is said to be walking around central Sioux Falls at this time.

Authorities do not have an exact location of the bug, but are said to have put blockades around the area of Augustana University and the University of Sioux Falls.

Campuses have not yet cancelled classes, but police remind students to stay clear of the area.

“I mean, I wasn’t going to class anyway. So, yeah.” said one Augustana student.

“It just goes to show that central Sioux Falls is the place to be right now. We’re so proud.” Mayor Mike Huether added.

Areas along 41st were also affected by this outage.
