Homegrown pot is on the rise in Sioux Falls and city officials are terrified. With Sioux Falls hitting record growth in the restaurant industry, and with that comes the illegal growth of pot in Sioux Falls homes.

“We’ve seen traders and illegal transporters of these homegrown atrocities all across the state. We’re doing our best to keep them off the streets.” said a Sioux Falls Police Department official.

With the intersection of cross country interstates, Sioux Falls is the new breeding ground of illegal trade and growth within the homegrown pot market. There have been multiple attempts to legalize it, as well.

“I don’t see why we can’t just legalize it and tax it. Everyone grows their own pot around these parts, anyway. We’re big into cooking here.” said Caspar Green of Sioux Falls.

Sioux Falls has made 420 arrests this year related to illegal pot trade and homegrowth.
