Surprised citizens around the Sioux Falls area are scrambling to get plans ready to head up to Brookings this weekend as they are just now finding out College Gameday is headed to Brookings.

“I can’t believe I’m just finding this out today, the day before it’s all happening. How can these news outlets even function without letting their viewers know this kind of stuff is happening? Now I have tons of stuff to get to today so I can head up there tomorrow before everything happens,” said one citizen we spoke with.

College Gameday has been to Fargo before, but never Brookings and that is exciting news for college fans.

“I’m glad I caught the news on my way out of the house this morning! I would have never known this was coming to South Dakota! I’m a huge college football fan, so I need to make signs and get my gear all ready to try and get on TV! Body paint may or may not make it on to the dad body,” said one college fan we spoke with.

While some gear up for the big day, others aren’t finding the big news very exciting.

“Just a bunch of college kids going to flash their Venmo accounts behind the announcers to try and get rich like that guy from Iowa who gave all of his money to sick children. These people are sick people that need to head to a psychologist. Luckily, I’m just hearing about all this happening, so I didn’t need to see it all over the news all week,” said one sour citizen we spoke with.

Enjoy the game, everyone!
