Citizens cheered Tuesday as Sioux Falls approved massive tariffs on Iowa drivers.

“Finally, all of our stress and heartache will start paying off. It’s time these people pay their fair share, or go drive terribly back in their home state. Either choice is totally fine by me. I’m not Iowaist, but I’m getting pretty close!” said one anonymous citizen we spoke with.

It’s no secret that Iowa drivers continue to be a bother on locals. Stuck in traffic? Iowa driver. Car not moving in front of you at a green light? Iowa driver. Just pissed off at everything in the world? Iowa driver.

“The other day I saw an Iowa driver stop at a traffic cone and I think they were waiting for it to turn green or something? I don’t even know any more. Iowa drivers are the most confusing creature on Earth and I’m glad they’re going to get tariffed,” said another citizen we spoke with.

Citizens await the retaliation from Iowa, but don’t expect much…it’s Iowa.
