WASHINGTON D.C. – President Elect Donald J. Trump has picked South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for his Homeland Security Secretary.
“I’ve seen the work she’s done to keep Minnesotans and Iowans out of the great state of South Dakota, being neighbors with Tim Walz is the hardest job on the planet, I would know, he’s a bit of a weirdo, as is the whole state of Iowa, who have trouble driving in a straight line,” Trump’s statement read earlier today.
Kristi Noem has always had that dog in her, as everyone knows. Leading South Dakota through the COVID-19 pandemic, and a number of other topics like shooting fireworks over Mount Rushmore and stuff.
“The Mount Rushmore fireworks have always been a yuge topic in my mind, and Kristi has always fought to shoot those babies off during the 4th of July. I couldn’t have chosen a better person to lead than her,” President Elect Trump said earlier Tuesday morning.
No word on if Noem will push for President Trump to be cast into Mount Rushmore as of yet, but the betting market is giving -250 odds on it happening.
